The MT2-02 converter (for measuring coatings inside pipes) is designed to measure the thickness of the coating (rust) on the inside of the pipe. The elongated rod allows the sensor to be placed at a depth sufficient to get rid of the error due to the edge effect. In case of recalibration, the device can be used to measure the thickness of the coating on a surface of arbitrary shape in hard-to-reach places. The probe is based on a standard sensor, used with thickness gauges MT1008; MT2003; MT2007.
