Flaw detectors are designed for non-destructive testing of various materials and products in order to detect hidden defects. Depending on the type, they can detect delaminations and non-adhesives in composite materials (acoustic impedance flaw detectors), cracks and corrosion in metals (eddy current flaw detectors), as well as determine the content of the ferrite phase in stainless steels (ferritometers).
